I can't stand the show!  They don't even talk about weather the whole time! I hate the show.

Dispite an article say so-called that 8 million viewer watch that show, that show is nothing about weather!! That's why I don't watch that show, period. Is all about entertianment or non-related weather. Only changes they talk about weather is either they only put it into a news-format or very less talk about the weather, but not a meteorlogy science format.

I watched a few minutes of it this morning and Al touted Monday's show with "and the most accurate weather forecasts". :gavel: What a joke that is, I don't see them forecast anything let alone accurately (unless showing a radar and explaining 'see where its green, its raining there.' consists of forecasting)! :hammerhead:

Another segment I caught was the vote on the best of the four hurricane weather videos. Of course, Stephanie Abrams won, probably just because viewers think that she's hot. Al chimed in with his video where the cameraman was hugging his leg during Wilma, whining about how he should have one. Is this all really necessary?

Yesterday when I caught the tail end, Al says "and now your local forecast with music by Madonna". Again with the "music by" malarkey.

When I heard Pink Floyd again, I just muted the LF and once it got to the radar, I turned the channel...

"And the most accurate weather forecasts" Al says???? :psst: Wow! How good can it get. This is the program that is not all about weather/meteorlogy talk. The Weather Channel is replaced by liberals and entertianment with not much weather: including music from Madonna, which I think she is a radical artist who once mocking Jesus death on the cross. How crazy! How's that for "the most accurate weather forecast?"

I can't stand Wake Up With Al. It doesn't keep me awake, it just puts me to sleep. :smiley-sleepysmileyanim: What a boring pointless show this was, and it has very little to do with weather. First the music play list is ruined, then this crappy show dumped on TWC. Somebody stop them!

only reason they created this imo is for anyone who follows Al is to watch him at 6am then turn to nbc to watch 3 more hours of him until they get there daily Roker

I personally like the theme song to tv shows of the past. But, do they belong on TWC's local on the 8s music playist? Absolutely not!! :psst:

I was with a weather legend at about this time last week. He has been retired from the NWS for about 20 years. He said that the weather channel has turned into an entertainment channel. I'm afraid he's right. Wake up with Al is the worst show twc has ever had, along with only "The Climate Code", which was later changed to "Forecast Earth", the Dr. Heidi Cullen did.

What I am saying is that I don't think "Wake Up With Al" is any worse than those other two, they are all tied, IMO, as the worst shows TWC has ever had. They all suck, big time!!!  :psst:

I also do like these music tracks themes, too, on second thought, BUT doesn't fit on the local on the 8's.

Something I really agree on that you and this retiree. Just watch that show or the commerical (IMO) and you see that show is all about entertianment. Maybe a liite on weather. So, rate this show one of the worse ever along with this Forecast Earth after it was named "The Climate Code." Not without mentioned, The Weather Channel becoming, also, a news almost fear chambler network in my opinion.

I agree, also that the show is not the worse than the two. I been believed that these three shows ALTOGETHER are the worse ever.

It's nice to be among others who are upset by the way NBC has brought TWC down. I cannot believe WUWAL is still even on. He acts like he's on speed or something....way too much for me first thing in the morning. One of my favorite things about TWC has always been that I can get my weather geek fix, feed my brain, and NOT have to deal with depressing news headlines and all the other stuff. If I want politics and entertainment news, I'll watch something else.

If I have to watch a "Wake Up With...." show, couldn't it at least be "Wake Up with Dave (Schwartz)"?

I agree with the commentary on the music during LF also. It's okay music, but it just doesn't fit with TWC. I had to do a double-take the other morning thinking someone had changed the channel on me.

NBC: please yank this show and give us back our weather sans all the fluff we didn't want in the first place.

<sigh>

"Coming up next the top news headlines..." Fine. I'll change the channel on the remote to Fox News, or CNN for that.
