Lets see what ConCom ah Comcon i mean ComCast does. i have had mainly negative opinions but my sources might be skewed, lets see what happens.
Maybe ComCast might try the idea i sent TWCh in the 1990s (AccuWx a few months ago, posted on my LIVEjournal) of investing into what i called then an Info Hub phone (line), and gain a foothold in that (HUB) market by using (fired OCPs) to bring in their solid fan base into the Info Hub phone's weather forecasts

Correct. The merger talks are what could collapse. More front page news stories appear in the Phila. Inquirer Saturday Oct. 3rd. The main story focuses mostly on speculation and analysis of a deal. The side story is about what Comcast would get if the deal is successful. NBC though doesn't appear to be faring well financially. According to the main story (by staff writer Bob Fernandez) "General Electric, which owns 80% of NBCU, is losing money on NBC programming". They (network) recently "plugged a prime time slot" with Jay Leno and GE might be "forced to take other actions to save money".

I would have to respectfully disagree. NBC has exhausted shows that many (myself included) once found fascinating and wanted to watch, such as ICHT and WWCH. I used to love those shows, but they never make any new ones and have ruined the purpose the shows originally had. IMO, Comcast adding into the mix would not have much effect on TWC directly, but I certainly don't see any benefit.
